    76. Benjamin Franklin Lindsey (John (Jack) , Thomas , John , James , Unknown , Reuben ) was born on 24 Dec 1820 in Montgomery Co., GA. He died on 20 Nov 1881 in Adel, Georgia. He was buried in 1881 in Woodlawn Cem., Adel, Cook, GA. Benjamin resided. He joined religion Salem Primitive Baptist Church. He was baptized in 1881 in Ordinary.

    Benjamin Franklin Lindsey, son of John Lindsey (Vol. II), was bornin Montgomery County, Dec. 24, 1820. He was married in Lowndes (now Berrien County, Feb. 11, 1847, to Rachel, daughter of John Sutton (Vol.III). She was born Nov. 15, 1828 in Lowndes, (now Berrien) County.

    Mr. Lindsey lived on the present Nashville -Adel highway west of the river forming the present county-line between Cook and Berrien Counties;territory until 1918, in Berrien County. He served as Justice of Peace, 1156 district, 1857-1869, and was a member of the Berrien County Board of Commissioners, 1872-1876. In 1881, he was elected Ordinary in January,and took office but died the same year, Nov. 20, 1881. Mrs. Lindsey died July 10, 1904. They were buried in the cemetery at Salem Church, now the city (Woodlawn) cemetery in Adel.

    Benjamin married Rachel S. Sutton daughter of John (Jack) Sutton and Blansett Davis on 11 Feb 1847 in Lowndes, GA. Rachel was born on 15 Nov 1828 in Lowndes (now Berrien) Co., GA. She died on 10 Jul 1904 in At Home, 7 M E of Adel, Berrien, GA. She was buried in Adel Cem, Cook, GA.
